People love to get their hands on information and the internet is a great place to find it. The internet buzz word used to be “e-book” but now it is all about “special reports”. Want to know why?

Of course I am going to tell you why!

Do you watch TV? When your favorite TV show is interrupted by the news telling you there is a special report, what do you do? You may get mad, as I often do, and fuss at the TV because your show was just about to reach the climax, but no matter how mad you are, I would put money on the fact that your eyes stay on the screen to see what is going on. You want to know what is so important that your favorite TV program had to be delayed. And get this. Sometimes they actually have something to say that you need to hear.

Good information makes a special report worthy of watching, even if you miss out on your favorite program. You can catch the rerun or if you are smart, you recorded it with your DVR or TIVO.

This is what makes the Special Reports on the internet so easy to market to others. Everyone in your target will want to know what it says.

If you are launching a new site or trying to drum up more traffic, then a special report is a good way to go. And it does not take a huge significant effort to create one. All you need is the info and the time to get it a 7 to 15 page report done. If you don’t have the time then you can always outsource the project to someone else.

Your special report can be on any number or topic but it should be relevant to your audience. Here are a few titles of Special Reports that I created for my own sites:

Frugal Vegan

Nature’s Medicine: Garlic

Clean Your Pantry – Ways to Remove the Junk

Kitchen Makeover The Vegan Way

Those are only a few but they were all targeted to my target audience – Vegans.

And you don’t have to write them from scratch. You can use articles you already have and repurpose them or grab some PLR and rewrite it to fit what you need it to say. There are so many ways to be creative with a Special Report.

You can create special reports to fit any target or niche. Use them are freebies or sell them at a low price. You can also create a series from them or make an e-book.

So many possibilities!

I have heard it said that a blog post can be pretty lose when it comes to the rules of writing. To that I say yes and no.

I do believe that a blog post should be as personable as you can make it; depending on your audience. Even if you are strictly business, a little of you should always shine through. You don’t have to share your life story but I truly believe that all business and no play is a bore.

However, I don’t believe that you should write your blog posts any way you want to. I think that there should be a certain order to all things and while you may not agree, if you have a business blog, a blog that you are using to market affiliate products, or a blog where you want to gain some decent traffic.

Without order to your blog you risk not being taken serious. Who wants to follow a person who misspells, writes sentences out of order, or talks excessively about a subject that has nothing to do with the focus of the blog. This is why order is so important to all you write: Whether on paper on a cyber notepad. There is nothing more worth the time spent reading then a well read piece of work.

Have you ever read a book and figured out the end before you read it? Or maybe you were able to figure out the sequences of events and so you grew bored and eventually put the book down, never to pick it up again. This is I call a poorly written piece of work. Why?

It fails to get and keep your attention.

That is what will happen with your blog if you don’t reel your audience in with the proper order.

Maybe you think that you are no good at keeping order to your blog content. Perhaps you just don’t have the time to take it that serious. After all you need to get that report done for your subscribers and it takes up a lot of your time. Maybe you just need some help.

With the help of a good writer, all you need to do is share your vision and allow them the space to get your blog content in order. If you find yourself unable to order your content so that your blog flows well and keeps a focus, than may it is time to outsource it to someone who can help you with that.

If you are considering outsourcing the management of your blog content, the Natural Writer has a package that fits you. You can read more about Blog Content Manager service on the Packages page.

Simply put, a content writer is a person who helps you reach your target audience with words. Whether is it through helping you write articles, reports, or e-books or revamping your bio, a content writer’s purpose is to be your voice on paper or the internet.

I know that there are people who say anyone can write but the bottom line is that some people are just not cut out to creatively place words in the right place. That is not necessarily a bad thing. There are just as many people who do know how to take words and weave them into well formatted readable pieces of work. So if you are the person who has trouble making words make sense there is no need to fret because there are people out there who are able to help.

Content writers come in all shapes and sizes. There are technical writers, health writers, parenting writers, and many other niche specific scribes. There are also writers who right on a wide array of subjects. With that said, a content writer is available to help you succeed.

Your goals in seeking out a writer that fits your particular needs should be the following:

Your expectations - Ask yourself what you expect to get from hire a writer? What needs to you want to be fulfilled? Are you looking for a writer who offers retainer options? Do you need a ghost writer to help you with your article marketing efforts?

You have to have expectations or you may end up very disappointed.

What is your budget - Before you go seeking a writer, decide how much you want to pay. Some people want to pay good money for their content and others don’t. Regardless of what you want to pay having a budget for your content writing needs will help you find the writer you want.

In considering your budget you also want to find out the payment terms of the writer you are seeking. Some require a down payment with the balance due upon completion of the project, others require payment up front, and still others will bill all clients once per month. Just know before you agree to work with the writer.

Ask around - Word of mouth advertisement is the best way to find what you need. If you are looking for a good writer just put the word out and you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for.

View the Portfolio - When you go to a writer’s site they should have a sample of their work on their site. If there is no sample of their work, then move on.

Schedule - A good writer’s calendar will fill up quickly. If you think that you have found the one for you, make sure that they can meet your deadline. If not you may have to find another one or ask if they do Rush projects. Keep in mind however that most writers will charge a fee for Rush orders. Now if you can wait a couple of weeks for your content and you just have to work with the writer you have found, then by all means get your project on that schedule.

Whatever your need is for finding a good writer, there are some very good ones out there. When you find one you like, stick with them for as long as you can.
